Great Springs Volunteer Program
Great Springs Project relies greatly on volunteer efforts as a way to continue our work. Our team is pleased to offer numerous ways for community members to get involved with volunteer efforts. From building trail, to restoring local environments, to participating in community events, to cheering on runners at GSP Trail Races, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Explore the volunteer opportunities below and learn more. If you are not ready to commit to an event, stay in the loop on future events by completing the below volunteer interest form.

Trail Building
This volunteer work involves boots on the ground efforts, removing brush and building out trails to make the 100+ mile hike & bike trail network that will connect San Antonio to Austin – from the Alamo to the Capitol!

Environmental Restoration
Join GSP at an environmental restoration workday! Preserving and protecting habitats is part of our mission at Great Springs Project. These volunteer activities focus on cleaning up litter and debris from the environment, removing invasive species and planting natives so habitats can thrive.

Educational Outreach
Great Springs Project engages the Central Texas community through tabling opportunities and community events. Volunteers participating in Educational Outreach support Great Springs Project staff at tabling engagements and help share our mission and conservation work. These volunteers will have the opportunity to meet with community members and network with fellow supporters in the area.
