Volunteer Program
Great Springs Project relies greatly on volunteer efforts as a way to continue our work. Our team is pleased to offer numerous ways for community members to get involved with volunteer efforts. From trail building, environmental restoration projects, educational outreach to hosting Trail Races, there are plenty of ways to volunteer with GSP. Explore volunteer opportunities below to learn more.
Trail Building
This volunteer work involves boots on the ground efforts, removing brush and building out trails to make the 100+ mile hike & bike trail network that will connect San Antonio, TX to Austin, TX.

Before you can start building trail, we ask all Trail Building volunteers to review our safety presentation.

Environmental Restoration
Come plant trees with GSP! Preserving and protecting habitats is part of our mission at Great Springs Project. This volunteer team focuses on removing litter from the environment, removing invasive species and planting natives for habitats to thrive.

Educational Outreach
Great Springs Project engages the Central Texas community through tabling opportunities and community events. This team of volunteers supports Great Springs Project staff at tabling engagements and helps educates the Hill Country community on our mission and conservation work. Volunteers on this team will have the opportunity to meet with community members and network with fellow supporters in the area.
